Zippy Wall

Anti-raid for Discord

Stop mass-join raids before they land.

Zippy Wall's antiraid detects coordinated join floods, locks your server down automatically, and reverts when the wave passes. Three modes — FREEZE, KICK, LOG — tuned to how cautious or aggressive you want to be.

Free tier protects from links + scam patterns. Anti-raid lockdown is Pro — $3.99/mo, 14-day free trial.

What a Discord raid looks like

A raid is a coordinated burst of new joins — usually 5–50 throwaway accounts within seconds — designed to spam phishing links, mass-DM your members, drown out conversation, or vandalize before mods can respond. The classic signature: 30 accounts under 1 day old all join, all DM your members the same Discord Nitro phishing link, all get banned 10 minutes later. By the time you wake up, half your community got phished.

Anti-raid bots watch your join rate and react automatically. The bot is faster than humans by orders of magnitude — a raid that overwhelms three mods in five minutes triggers Zippy Wall in under a second.

Three modes — pick your aggression

Each server tunes anti-raid differently. We give you three response styles, all configurable per-guild.

FREEZE

Raise verification level — recommended default

When the join burst trips your threshold, Zippy Wall raises the server's verification level to the highest tier for the configured window. New joiners can't post until they pass Discord's built-in verification (verified phone or 5+ min server presence). Doesn't punish legit users — raiders bounce on their own.

  • No false-positive kicks
  • Reversible
  • Discord-native
KICK

Kick every joiner in the burst

Aggressive — every account that joins during the active raid window gets kicked. Useful for high-target servers (large gaming communities, doxx-magnets) where you'd rather lose a few legit signups than risk a raid landing.

  • Stops the wave instantly
  • Forces re-join intent
  • Pairs well with KICK_MEMBERS perm
LOG_ONLY

Alert mods, take no action

Paranoid / tuning mode — Zippy Wall posts a detailed alert to your mod-log channel but takes no automated action. Useful when you're first dialing in the threshold and want to see what would have tripped before enabling real defense.

  • Zero false-positive impact
  • Helps you tune the threshold
  • Best for first 7 days

How antiraid actually works

One detection mechanic, three response shapes, automatic reversion.

1
Detect

Rolling window tracks join events. When count-in-window crosses your threshold, the raid trigger fires.

2
Lock down

Selected mode kicks in immediately: FREEZE raises verification, KICK removes joiners, LOG alerts only.

3
Auto-revert

After your configured freeze window (default 15 min), settings snap back to what they were. No manual cleanup.

What you get

Anti-raid layered with the rest of Zippy Wall's chat-firewall stack.

Tunable threshold + window

Configure how many joins in how many seconds counts as a raid. Sensible defaults: 5 joins in 30s for small/medium servers, 10 joins in 30s for larger communities. Tunable per-server.

Auto-revert after the burst

Once your configured freeze window passes (default 15 minutes), the server's verification level snaps back to whatever you had before. No manual undo, no admin scramble.

Mod-log embeds with raid context

Every raid trigger posts a structured embed: join count, time window, mode taken, account-age summary for the burst. You get a full incident record without leaving Discord.

Account-age link gating layered on top

Anti-raid catches the join wave; account-age gating catches the followup. Block URLs from accounts under N days old (default 30) so even if a raider slips past the burst window, they can't spam links.

Per-joiner action during active raid

If FREEZE is on, accounts joining mid-raid are blocked by verification — Zippy logs each one. If KICK, each gets removed automatically with the raid window tagged in the audit log.

Works with Twitch chat too

Your $3.99/mo Pro covers Twitch and Discord under one subscription. Anti-raid is Discord-specific (Twitch doesn't have the same mass-join surface) but the URL + scam-pattern detection runs everywhere.

Setup in 30 seconds

No config files, no JSON to write — the dashboard has sensible defaults baked in.

  1. Step 1
Add Zippy Wall to your server

One-click Discord invite, grants the bot the permissions it needs (Manage Server for FREEZE, Kick Members for KICK, etc.).

  2. Step 2
Click "Quick start" on the dashboard

One button enables anti-raid with our recommended defaults: 5 joins in 30 seconds → FREEZE for 15 minutes. Tunable below if you want stricter or looser.

  3. Step 3
    Set your mod-log channel

Drop the channel ID into the dashboard. Every raid trigger posts an embed there with the full context — join count, accounts hit, action taken.

Common questions

Will antiraid kick legitimate new members?

In FREEZE mode (default), no — it raises the verification level so new joiners need to verify before chatting, but nobody gets removed. KICK mode does kick during an active raid window; reserve it for high-target servers where you'd rather lose a few legit signups than miss a raid.

What threshold should I pick?

Start at 5 joins in 30 seconds for small/medium servers (under 5k members). Bump to 10 joins in 30s for larger or more public servers where higher legit-join rates are normal. Use LOG_ONLY mode for the first week to see what trips before turning on real defense.

Does anti-raid require any Discord permissions I should worry about?

FREEZE mode needs Manage Server (to change verification level). KICK mode adds Kick Members. We never ask for Administrator. The invite link grants exactly the perms we need, nothing more.

What happens during a raid that gets through?

Anti-raid is layered with account-age link gating and the rest of the chat firewall. Even if a sophisticated attacker spreads joins across a longer window to dodge the burst threshold, the moment any of them posts a phishing URL, the link scanner deletes it. Account-age gating (block URLs from accounts < 30 days old) is a second line of defense.

How is this different from Wick or Beemo?

Wick and Beemo are pure anti-raid / anti-nuke specialists. Zippy Wall does anti-raid plus the full chat-content firewall — phishing URL detection, scam-pattern presets, custom banned phrases, mention-spam, audit logging. One $3.99/mo subscription covers everything across both Twitch and Discord. If you want only raid protection, Wick may be enough. If you want raid + everyday chat security in one bot, Zippy Wall.
